~ For the Love of Freedom ~
Underground Railroad Tour
The Underground Railroad is neither a railroad, nor underground. It was made of people – courageous, loving people who risked their lives and homes to assist fugitive slaves on the road to Freedom in Canada. People of Faith, people of Commerce, people of Power and Authority – all were involved in the operation of this clandestine route to freedom, and all were motivated by a love of Freedom.
The Love of Freedom Tour takes you on a life learning journey traveling on the authentic routes of slaves and the bounty hunters pursuing them. Learn the perils, the challenges and the love that saw so many reach freedom. Your guide is a respected and engaging historian, bringing history "to life" before your eyes. The Niagara was a station on the Underground Railroad and is part of your personal exploration of the Road to Freedom. Enjoy lunch at Murphy’s Orchards while you tour an actual Underground Railroad Safe house an escape trail, and the Castellani Art Museum Underground Railroad Interpretive Center.
Tour pricing includes lunch, luxury transportation from a destination of your choice, admission to all sites of interest and guide and driver gratuities.
